Well, the PeeWwee Ironmen fought a hard game and did not just bow out without a strong fight, we were down only 1-0 at halftime. In the second half a few untimely penalties put us in 3rd a long a few times.Mississauga played a good game and ended up wearing our defence down.
Our defence turned in the best performance of the year and should be praised for their effort.
The game ended 24 - 0 for the Warriors. I would like to take this time to thank all the players for their hard work
throughout the season and also like to thank the parents for their efforts on getting the players to practice all season long.
To my coaches, guys thank you, all of you committed your time and effort and helped make the kids better players.
We were the youngest team in the league and still competed with the best in the league, next year we return the most players ever in peewee since we started.
I would also like to commend the JV and Senior teams for their wins over the weekend, both the players and coaches on each team ....Well Done!!
Good Luck in your games this weekend ....GOOOO Ironmen!!!!!!

PEEWEE--TEAM - In Brampton
The Peewee Ironmen had no luck at all in the game against Brampton Bears,
Everytime we were close to scoring something went wrong and with games that are close or should be close those things will have you on the wrong side of the scoreboard everytime.
Even the coaches were in on the blunders as I myself thought I had counted 13 Brampton players on the field, and let the refs know.....they counted and came up with 12 .....I counted again and came up with 13, with a chuckle the ref offered me his glasses......always trying to get an edge.....
The team played as well as can be expected and came up short...
We will have to prepare for London coming into our backyard and end the regular season on a high note.

#80 Marc Fournier
The Peewee Ironmen put up another impressive performance against Halton Cowboys on Sunday, winning 66-0.
#28 Noah Paciocco
The defence led by Charlie Taggart had at least 6 turnovers with Taggart leading the way with 2 interceptions, Thomas Chaffe also had a pick. The offence were again unstoppable with Justin Lloyd, Tafari Delisser, Quincy Reid, Marc Fournier and the whole O line having strong games. The special teams also came up big converting all 9 tds and adding the first FG of the year a 27yrd effort by Tyler Noble. The game had some TSN highlight plays with Justin Lloyd and Max Guy combing on 2 different plays that you would want to watch over and over again. Liam Putt put the pigskin in the air with great accuracy that led to a TD pass that again made the the highlight reel.
Its back to business Monday as a short week sees us in Cambridge on Canada Day.

The Peewee Ironmen continue to roll in the right direction with their second win of the season.
The victory was a win win for everyone as we were able to start some backups on defence and they did us proud.
On offence, backup QB Zack Sibley showed great poise as he led the team to 42 points, a great way to introduce him to his first OVFL start......
Overall the team enjoyed a great game. From the OLine to the Safety everyone contibuted to the win.
The team hopes to continue its winning ways as we host the Halton Cowboys on this coming Sunday, June 27th. Game time is 10:00am.

The Peewee Ironmen produced their first win, 28 - 20 on Saturday against Brantford and the team was solid from start to finish.
22 Justin Lloyd
The Ironmen scored first and never looked back, the defence was solid and 2 of Brantford's tds were off fluke plays. One of them should have been an interception for six for the Ironmen but the ball went through the defender's hands and into the receiver's for the td..
It was a strong performance by the whole team, it was great to see the offence turn things around and put up four tds.
Runnung backs Justin Lloyd and Quincy Reid had strong game as well as Liam Putt at Quaterback
Charlie Taggart, Max Guy and Jacob Lee also produced strong games on both sides of the ball, Tyler Noble had another good game kicking as he converted all four Touchdowns and made a smart play recovering his own Kickoff to set up another td before the half ended.

The game started off great for the Ironmen as they returned the opening kick off for the first major of the season. Justin Lloyd was the benefactor of some great blocks and found the hole to the endzone....
Niagara were a much bigger team and fought back hard to even the score, the Ironmen defence then stopped the Spears on their next drive forcing a punt which Lloyd again returned for his second major of the game.
The Iromen offence got something going in the second qtr and Jacob Lee with some nice running put the Ironmen up 20-12 at halftime
The second half was all Spears as what could go wrong for the Ironmen did go wrong.
By the time the final whistle blew the Spears had rallied for the 28-20 victory.
It was a good lesson for the team as most are first year players in the league and they all got a taste of what the OVFL is all about.
The Niagara Spears team is new to this league but not new to football, they played a hard nose game and in the end were paid off with the 2 points.
Tyler Noble added 2 converts to the Ironmen point total, and also had an interception to snuff out a late second quarter Spears drive.
All in all the Ironmen will learn from the loss and hope to have a better result this week when they face another tough opponent in Mississauga.
