It was a sunny day at IvorWynne Stadium as the Varsity Ironmen stepped on the field to face the OFC Champion Twin City Predators. Both teams started slowly and struggled to find consistency and by the half time whistle the Ironmen held a slim 14-6 lead. However, the Ironmen recieved an extra boost with th additions of Case, Reddick, Baughan, Vaughan, Lolli, Mezzalira, Kyei, and Trabucco who reeturned from their victory with the Golden Horeshoe Allstars that had just played at McMaster University. The crew showed their presence immediately as the Preditors struggled to move the ball. At the final whistle the Ironmen claimed victory with a 43-6 win. Standouts included both QBs Hill and Van Wynsberghe, RB Haggarty, WR Bruccalleri, and LB Bellardini who was also consistant with the kicking game. Note that Pizzuti was solid on both sides of the ball and phenom Rec Peterman did not play due to injury. ” I was proud of all our players and the intensity they maintain throughout the contest” stated coach Underhill. “It showed us that we need more work with our ones and twos to help their development and ability to compete at the same level as our ones”. The Ironmen head to Toronto next week to face the OVFL Champion Thunder at Mary Ward Field. It will be quite the flop from the CIS pass style offence of the Predators, to the power run 4 down style of the Thunder.
Road Trip anyone?

We're still waiting on a picture for Jeremy, I will post one when received. Larry Moko of the Hamilton Spectator wrote an article about Jeremy Kyei and his Humanitarian Mission trip to Uganda - read the article here.
