Playoff Varsity Game Highlights by Rob Thompson & Tony Toliver – July 28th
London Falcons 21 - Steel City Ironmen 17
It was fitting that the Senior Ironmen’s most exciting game of the year should be also their last. Incredibly Steel City’s “Iron Curtain” defence allowed no points during the game. Congratulations guys. You know who you are.
Unfortunately two surprise run backs from kicks resulted in two TD’s, and a pass interception accounted for the other London score.
Other than the interception Steel City’s offence stepped up to play one of their best games of the year.
A special thanks to Dennis Griffin and his coaching staff for a great year.
Thanks also to Bonnie Griffin and the game day staff for all their support to this team whether at home or on the road.
Last, but not least, to the Steel City Ironmen. You are a class group. It has been a pleasure following your games this year. Stand proud.
